Plug-ins

Plug-ins are small .dll files in the plugins folder next to the program. They add online sources and tools without a new version of All My Movies, which is what makes it possible to react quickly when a web site changes.

What is supplied

blu-ray.comAn extra online source, strong on Blu-ray releases: editions, discs and release data that the general film databases do not carry.
Save coversWrites the cover images of the collection out to files — for media players and file browsers that display a picture next to each film.
Ant Movie Catalog importThe reader behind Database › Import collection from… › Ant Movie Catalog.

Using them

Source plug-ins appear in the online database list together with the built-in ones; in the source drop-down they sit below the separator line. Pick one and it is queried like any other source.

Tool plug-ins appear in the Plugins menu. The menu itself is only shown when at least one such plug-in is installed — see Plugins menu.

Installing more

Plugins › Download more plugins… opens the page on our web site where new and updated plug-ins are published. Installing one means putting the .dll into the plugins folder and restarting the program; removing one means deleting the file.

An online source can stop working overnight because the site it reads changed its pages — that is normal, and it is usually fixed by an updated plug-in rather than by a new program version. If a source suddenly returns nothing, check for a newer plug-in, and tell us if there is none.
